Review of: High affinity immunoglobulin epsilon receptor subunit gamma, Thermo Fisher Scientific, PA5-28832 by pAbmAbs Data Mining
Our team has carried out deep research in the published scientific literature to identify papers and reports using antibodies directed against human, High affinity immunoglobulin epsilon receptor subunit gamma and followed up by extraction and evaluation of the available data to assess its performance according to pAbmAbs rating criteria.
YCharOS is here conducting a large head-to-head study comparing 7 commercial research antibodies against human, High affinity immunoglobulin epsilon receptor subunit gamma encoded by FCER1G.
The collection of antibodies was tested using THP-1 WT and FCER1G KO cells in the applications WB (WT and KO cell lysates/40 µg protein) and IP (WT cell lysate) according to YCharOS standard protocols (see reference).
In WB (1:500 Ab dilution) PA5-28832 detected a band of appr. 10 kDa in WT cell lysate not observed in KO cell lysate. A band was also detected following IP (2 µg Ab used). This band was significantly more intense than the corresponding band in input extract (6% of starting material). A faint band was also detected in immunodepleted extract (6% of total unbound fraction), showing that the antibody does not completely deplete the antigen from the cell lysate.
We highly encourage other scientists to share their observations.
