Review of: DYRK1A, Cell Signaling Technology, 8765 by pAbmAbs Data Mining
Our team has carried out deep research in the published scientific literature to identify papers and reports using antibodies directed against human DYRK1A (dual-specificity tyrosine phosphorylation-regulated kinase 1A) and followed up by extraction and evaluation of the available data to assess its performance according to pAbmAbs rating criteria.
YCharOS is here conducting a large head-to-head study comparing seven commercial research antibodies against human DYRK1A.
The collection of antibodies was tested using 5637 WT and DYRK1A KD cells in the applications WB (WT and KD cell lysates/60 µg protein) and IP (WT cell lysate) according to YCharOS standard protocols (see reference).
In WB (1:1000 Ab dilution) 8765 detected a band of appr. 85 kDa in WT cell lysate with no corresponding band observed in KD cell lysate. Background bands of strong intensity was observed in lysates of both genotypes along with bands of faint intensity. A band was also detected following IP (2 µg Ab used). This band was significantly more intense than the corresponding band in input extract (4% of starting material). A faint band was also detected in immunodepleted extract (4% of total unbound fraction), showing that the antibody does not completely deplete the antigen from the cell lysate.
We highly encourage other scientists to share their observations.
