CSF-1, Aviva Systems Biology, ARP44330
What do reviewers generally think about ARP44330 from Aviva Systems Biology?
Researchers report that ARP44330 detected a very faint ~60 kDa CSF-1 band in U87-MG WT lysates by Western blot at 1:500, with no corresponding band in CSF-1 KO cells. It also produced a band in IP using 2.0 µg antibody. One reviewer points out that no band was seen in input or immunodepleted extracts, indicating complete antigen depletion from lysate. Overall, performance appears specific but weak in WB, with functional IP/depletion.

Review of: CSF-1, Aviva Systems Biology, ARP44330 by pAbmAbs Data Mining
Our team has carried out deep research in the published scientific literature to identify papers and reports using antibodies directed against human Macrophage colony-stimulating factor 1 and followed up by extraction and evaluation of the available data to assess its performance according to pAbmAbs rating criteria.
YCharOS is here conducting a large head-to-head study comparing 14 commercial research antibodies against human Macrophage colony-stimulating factor 1 encoded by the gene CSF-1.
The collection of antibodies was tested using U87-MG WT and CSF-1 KO cells in the applications WB (WT and KO cell lysates/25 µg protein) and IP (WT cell lysate) according to YCharOS standard protocols (see reference).
In WB (1:500 Ab dilution) ARP44330 detected a very faint band of appr. 60 kDa in WT cells with no corresponding band in KO cells. A band was detected following IP (2.0 µg Ab used). No band was detected in either input extract (10 % of starting material) or immunodepleted extract (10% of total unbound fraction), showing that the antibody does completely deplete the antigen from the cell lysate.
