ACSL5, Bio-Techne, NBP1-59645

Our team has carried out deep research in the published scientific literature to identify papers and reports using antibodies directed against human ACSL5 and followed up by extraction and evaluation of the available data to assess its performance according to pAbmAbs rating criteria.

YCharOS is here conducting a large head-to-head study comparing 8 commercial research antibodies against human ACSL5.

The collection of antibodies was tested using HCT 116 WT and ACSL5 KO cells in the applications WB (WT and KO cell lysates/40 µg protein), IP (WT cell lysate) and IF (WT and KO cells) according to YCharOS standard protocols (see reference).

In WB (1:200 Ab dilution) NBP1-59645 detected no clear band for either KO or WT. Several weaker background bands of both higher and lower molecular weight of 63 kDa are seen in WT and KO lysates. No band was detected following IP (2 µg Ab used). In IF (1:250 Ab dilution) comparable staining intensities were observed in both KO and WT cells
