I have used this antibody for immunohistochemistry of 30 µm brain sections of C57BL/6J mice in a dilution of 1:1000. The optimum incubation time for this antibody is 24 hour at 4◦C. This antibody works so well in our lab.
Rabbit-anti-Iba (ionized calcium binding adapter molecule 1; Synaptic Systems, Göttingen, Germany; 234003) is useful for the analysis of microglia under physiological conditions in various mammalian species. Moreover, this immunoreagent also enables the detection of microglia/macrophages in ischaemia-affected tissue from rats (Michalski et al 2017 PLoS One – Figs 2, 3 and 13; Bankstahl et al 2018 ENeuro, Figs. 9 and 10) and from mice (Michalski et al 2017 J Alzheimer Dis, Fig 1).

We used this antibody for IHC staining of 4% PFA perfused mouse brain tissues (vibratome sections).
It works very well.
