We used this antibody for IHC staining of mouse brain tissue.
It works well for both un-perfused (cryosections) and 4% PFA perfused (vibratome sections) tissues.
By applying this primary antibody to immunofluorescence labeling you might expect very good results in paraformaldehyde-fixed tissues
Guinea pig-anti-glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) from Synaptic Systems (Göttingen, Germany; 173004) – well usable combined with mouse, rabbit and goat antibodies. Importantly, the secondary antibodies directed against rabbit and guinea pig IgG should be not cross-reacting (available highly purified donkey antibodies are for instance from Jackson ImmunoResearch, West Grove, PA, USA; German supplier: Dianova, Hamburg). Some references are Antonucci, Alpár et al 2012, Fig 6;Härtig et al 2014 Neuropathol Appl Neurobiol, Fig 6; Michalski et al 2017 PloS One , Figs 2,3,10-13).
