Endicott et al., BMC Res Notes describe the validation of twenty-three commercial antibodies raised against Collagen VI. When staining skeletal muscle sections (IHC 1:40), the present antibody gave a weak signal, and intracellular structures also appeared positive. Chain specificity immunoblots (WB 1:500) revealed that the antibody only detects α1 chains and no other chains. See full description in the link to the article above.
