This antibody was tested in heart and kidney mouse tissue in WB and IHC.
In both applications, the antibody failed to detect a specific immuno-reactivity signal in WT mice compared to the signal observed in Mas receptor knock-out animals. The expression of Mas receptor in tested tissue was confirmed by RT-PCR analysis. No Mas receptor mRNA was detected in Mas receptor knock out mouse.
In addition, the antibody was tested in HEK293 cells transiently transfected with Mas receptor (c-myc tagged). Again, no signal was detected in neither WB nor immunofluorescence experiments. Successful transfection was confirmed with anti c-myc antibody.
The tested antibody was from lot # AN0702, and was used in the following dilutions:
