We were unable to visualize TRPV1+ (noxious heat/capsaicin receptor) nerve fibers in human skin biopsies using the antibody, despite trying different staining methods, section thickness, and staining procedures. We, therefore, stopped using this antibody. The tissue was frozen and cut to 50 micrometer thick sections. The staining was performed free floating.
