I used this antibody for immunostaining of glypican-3 in human hepatocyte derived cell-line HepG2. The result was a very nice cell surface associated staining with medium/low background.
Antibody was diluted to 10 µg/ml, and 0.5% saponin was used as detergent.

Anti- Human Glypican 3 (AF2119, R&D Systems)
The antibody should detect human glypican 3. According to R&D systems, this antibody detects Glypican-3 (75 kDa) in lysate from HepG2 cells. Moreover, two unspecific bands (with higher molecular weight) can be detected. I however, detect many bands in this cell line. One of them is probably the right one, but because there are several bands around the expected molecular weight it is very difficult to tell which band is the correct. The same problem is observed homogenate from mouse liver. None of the bands are affected by heparinase treatment.
I used a concentration of 2 ug/ml
