Phospho-TrkA (Tyr785)/TrkB (Tyr816) (C67C8) Rabbit mAb #4168 Cell Signaling Technology
This antibody worked well to detect phosphorylation of FL TrkB in murine primary hippocampal and cortical neuronal lysates. Clear bands were visible when stimulating the neurons with 1nM BDNF compared to non-stimulated. Bands were detected using Amersham ECL Prime and imaging for 20 min.

I’ve been using this antibody for detecting TrkB phosphorylation at tyrosine 816 residue in mouse hippocampal and cortical lysates in Western blot with good results. Bands are usually faint and require long exposure times in detection. Several unspecific bands are often detected but the band at the predicted molecular weight is clear.
The antibody is diluted 1:1000 in 3% BSA in TBS-T + 1:1000 NaN3. Dilution has given a good signal for 3-5 uses when stored at 4 degrees.
Incubation overnight at 4 degrees
Washing steps with TBS-T
Secondary antibody diluted in 5% milk powder in TBS-T for 1 hour
Detection with ECL+
