  • This antibody works with immunostaining for identyfing post synaptic densities in a primary hippocampal neuron in a dillution 1:100.

  • Did not work for immunostaining mouse hippocampal neurons. Clusters of PSD95 was not visible.

Neurons were fixed for 20 min in 4% PFA and permeabilized using PBS + 0.1% Triton X-100. After blocking, the neurons were incubated with antibody in a 1:500 dilution in blocking buffer.

This antibody was tested simultaneously with other antibodies for PSD95 (see below) and proved to be the worst.
    PSD95 124 014 (Synaptic Systems) – Guniea pig
    PSD95 p246 (Sigma) – Mouse (BEST)
    PSD95 MAB 1596 (Chemicon/Millipore) – Mouse

  • Does not work in our hands. We have tested it on synaptosomal preparations from the hippocampus and for staining of primary mouse hippocampal neurons.
