This antibody works great to detect GABA-A receptor subunit alpha 1 in lysates from murine primary neurons (cortical). A very short exposure time were needed to develop bands using this antibody.

This antibody was tested on 15 um thick hippocampal cryo sections from a perfusion fixed mouse. Prior to immunohistochemistry, the tissue was target retrieved using DAKO antigen retrieval s1699 according to protocol from the manufacturer.
This antibody works excellent for detecting expression of GABA(A) receptor subtype alpha 1 in the hippocampus.
This was tested at 1:500 and1:1000. At 1:1000 a clear signal was seen with low background. The manufacturer suggest using a dilution between 1:1000 to 1:5000 so an even better result may be obtained using 1:5000.
