Used this affinity-purified antibody with success in immunocytochemistry against exogenous human SorCS2 in HEK293 cells. Is specific with relatively low background. Used 1 µg/mL.

In my hands, this is an excellent capture antibody in ELISA (10 µg/mL) detecting purified soluble SorCS2. Used Sheep anti human SorCS2, R and D AF4238 as detection antibody, however other antibodies such as mouse m9, m10, and m19 can be used for detection however these later antibodies give lower signal and higher back ground.

I have used unpurified F7100 for IP with a decent result, in a dilution of 1/500. i have used it for westernblotting in a dilution of 1/2000 with good results, although there are some unspecific bands. i Have used it for immunocytochemistry with a bad result, but this could be atributed to my own experience.

This antibody has been used for ImmunoEM on mouse hippocampal cryosections. When using a dilution of 1:750, no SorCS2 was observed in mice lacking SorCS2 expression while wild type mice showed clear labeling of SorCS2.

This a polyclonal antibody raised in rabbits against the entire extracellular domain of human SorCS2.
It is produced in the Anders Nykjær lab, Aarhus.
It is great in Western blotting for human SorCS2. 1:2000 dilution of serum. Not so great against endogenous mouse SorCS2. Many unspecific bands. However, the “correct” band is absent in SorCS2 knockouts.
It is good for IP of human SorCS2. NOT endogenous mouse SorCS2. For this I refer to the R&D systems sheep anti-mouse SorCS2 antibody.
We have used it also for ICC and IHC and mouse tissues with good results. With the right protocol, knockouts are blank. We use 10 ug/ml of affinitypurified antibody for this.
