Goat anti murine IL6 (AF406NA) from R&D works in WB for detection of murine IL6 from primary murine macrophages. I have used for subcelluar fractionation and is able to detect minutevamounts of protein. Dilute 1:1000.

The IL6 antibody AF406NA against murine IL6 is less good. I have tried it in macrophages (murine) stimulated with LPS. They do express IL6 (determined by ELISA) but the western blot displays many unspecific bands, and only a possible correct one (weak) at 24 kDa. It is hard to distinguish stimulated (have IL6) from unstimulated (no IL6) cells.
