I have used this antibody on 10 µm cryosections of mouse embryonic tissue for immunofluorescence. I observed very strong specific staining both in nervous and peripheral tissues with minimal background even though using a concentrated dilution.

I performed IHC with this antibody on 12 um cryo sections of mouse olfactory bulb sections. I got excellent specific staining of interneurons without any background.

I have used this antibody on 20 um spinal cord cryo-sections at a dilution of 1:500. It works very well and shows low background staining along with intense cytoplasm and nuclear staining of cells.

DAB staining of tissue with this antibody showed high specificity and very low background at a concentration of 1:2000. For fluorescence staining of tissue. the optimal concentration was 1:1000.
This was also tested on neurons in culture where a clear difference between Calbindin-positive and -negative was seen at a concentration of 1:1000.

This was not tested for IP or WB.
