I have used this antibody for both WB and IP and works well in both categories.
Phosphorus-32 labelled cells were lysed and by using 1ug/mL i was able to IP and see clear distinct bands corresponding to serine-phosphorylated proteins.
For WB i use 1:1000 dilution. Works well.

I have also had good experiences with this antibody in detecting pSerin-residues in a 1:1000 dilution in SY5Y-cells

I had heard a lot of negative things about phospho-serine antibodies but this one actually seems to work.
We stimulated SY5Y neuroblastoma cells transfected with human TrkB with increasing concentrations of BDNF for 15 min. Cells were lysed in TNE buffer containing protease and phosphatase inhibitors. Lysates were analyzed by Western blotting and blots were developed using ECL Plus.
We observed a dose-dependent response to BDNF using this antibody. In particular one intense band around 50 kDa was induced by BDNF in addition to several weaker bands.
WB dilution 1:1000
