One User Review

  • This antibody was included in a study of commercial available antibodies against Histamin H4 receptor. All antibodies were tested in Western blotting and flow cytometry.

The performance of the antibodies in flow cytometry was evaluated using Sf9 cells infected with virus encoding recombinant (Flag- and 6His-tagged) histamine receptors (mouse H4R, human H4R or human H3R). As control was used Sf9 cells infected with empty virus. In addition, FACS analysis was performed on HEK293 cells transiently transfected with human or mouse H4R, and spleen cells from H4R knockout or wt mice.
All tested H4R antibodies bounded all cells independently of H4R expression.

Western blot analysis was performed using Sf9 and HEK293 cells expressing human and mouse H4R and mock controls. Also in Western blot, the tested H4R antibodies failed to bind the specified protein.

For further information see: Beermann et al., Naunyn Schmiedebergs Arch Phamacol, 2012 Feb; 385(2):125-35. Commercially available antibodies against human and murine histamine H₄-receptor lack specificity.
