This antibody works good for both simple IHC or fluorescence immunohistochemistry and recognizes lysosomal aggregates in activated microglia/macrophages. Its an excellent marker for phagocytic microglia/macrophages. The difference between the labelling pattern of Iba1 (019-19741,wako) and CD68 can be differentiated in the figure attached.

Protocol details:
Blocking solution: 10% fetal calf serum and 3% bovine serum albumin in Tris-buffered saline (TBS, pH 7.4) with 1% Triton X-100 (TBST)
Washing solution: Tris-buffered saline (TBS) containing 0,3% Triton X-100 (TBS-T, pH 7.4).
Secondary : Anti-Rabbit Alexa568 -Invitrogen(1:500)
