  • Worked fine for immunostaining mouse hippocampal neurons. PSD95 clusters were visible but had a high background signal.

    Neurons were fixed for 20 min in 4% PFA and permeabilized using PBS + 0.1% Triton X-100. After blocking, the neurons were incubated with antibody in a 1:100 dilution in blocking buffer.

    This antibody was tested simultaneously with other antibodies for PSD95 (see below) and proved to be the second best.

  • Good antibody in Western blot. Recognizes a the protein of 95 kDa very specifically.
    We have used for synaptosomal preparations of hippocampus where PSD95 is highly enriched in the post synaptic density fractions.

    It also works great for staining cultured mouse hippocampal neurons (DIV14) as shown in the image above. PSD95 (red) and SorLA (green).
